The first race in the month of August, on the Atlantic Modified Tour, attracted 10 cars to the greater Miramichi area for race number seven on the 2023 campaign.

Two heat races were ran with the 91 of Braxton Stafford and the 17 of Joe Hoyt scored heat wins to start the day. The 89 car of Conrad Murphy took the pole for the feature and he would lead the first handful of laps before conceding the lead to the 2W of Chris Wilson.
The race yielded a couple close calls at the beginning, with everyone settling in for the second half, as the entire 35-lapper went caution free. A few cars would exit early due to mechanical issues but avoided any on track incident. Chris Wilson would pick up his third victory of the year, a hard-fought battle, to maintain his regular season lead to 18 points over Yves McCray.

Next on the docket, three consecutive trips to the Geary woods to kick off a series of races at Speedway 660. The latter two of the three races are during the annual SpeedWeekend event that takes place, September 1st through the 3rd. That weekend is a staple in the maritime motorsports calendar and has been taking place for well over two decades. Mark it on your calendars.
