(MIRAMICHI, NB – September 12th, 2020) – Joe Hoyt (Waasis, NB) scored his first official Atlantic Modified Tour win of 2020 on Saturday evening at Speedway Miramichi, taking the win in the Fairley’s Sports Bar 35. It is Hoyt’s first win since last season’s finale at the Douglastown, New Brunswick oval, which clinched the 2019 championship for Hoyt at the track.
Kevin Bailey (Minto, NB) scored a season best with a second place finish while hometown favorite Travis Conroy (Miramichi, NB) matched his season best finish with a third place effort. Braxton Stafford (Miramichi, NB) and Zean Dutcher (Miramichi, NB) completed the top five in the 11-car field.
Yves McCray (Neguac, NB) entered as the point leader but will see his point lead shrink after the fourth round of the Atlantic Modified Tour after a seventh place feature finish. Heat race victories went to Hoyt and Chris Wilson (South Esk, NB).

The Atlantic Modified Tour returns to action on Friday, September 18th with the fifth of six point races on the 2020 season, the Krown Rust Control 50 at Petty International Raceway. It is the first extended distance race of the year and is a part of opening night on the Mike Stevens Memorial weekend. Racing action begins at 7pm.
